Breaking News: Heath Ledger found DEAD

    Australian actor Heath Ledger, 28, with notable roles in such films as The Patriot and Casanova, was found dead in his Soho apartment in New York City Tuesday, police said.

    “Ledger was found today at 3:26 p.m.” said a police spokesperson. “Details on what kind of pills are still unavailable.”

    Celebrity publication TMZ, is reporting that police on the scene say pills were found around Ledger’s body on his bed.

    This report comes as a shock to many fans as Ledger, a usually private public figure, had never been in the spot light for drug use or chemical dependency.

    According to the New York Times, Ledger had a scheduled massage at his apartment. When the masseuse came to offer her services, she found him naked and unconscious in his bed. She attempted to wake him and received no response.
    
    Fan reaction has been pouring into the Internet and on the streets about the untimely death of this young talent.

    “It makes me angry that he did that to himself when he has a daughter out there who will now grow up without a dad,” said Ledger fan Amanda Scott.

    “What will drive a young actor full of life to suicide?” said Ledger fan Denny Rodriguez.

    Loyal fans have crowded around the late actor’s Soho apartment and laid wreaths, pictures and any other forms of flare that show how they felt about the star.

    The Oscar-nominated actor was most popular for his controversial role in the film Brokeback Mountain. Ledger had just finished a role as the Joker in the new installment to the Batman series called The Dark Knight. Not much was known about this latest role other than viral video being circulated on the popular Internet media website Youtube.
