Miami Ends Perfect Season

1972 marked a perfect season for the Miami Dolphins, 2007 was almost another perfect season, only this year saw the numbers are flipped – almost a winless season.  The Dolphins came into their Sunday match-up with the Baltimore Ravens 0-13.  A lucky break and a big overtime play earned Miami that first win of the season.

After Baltimore’s Matt Stover missed a field goal attempt from 44 yards, the game was forced into overtime.  That extra time is what Miami needed.  64 yards later, Greg Camarillo scored the winning touchdown for Miami.

Cam Cameron, Head Coach for the Miami Dolphins, earned his first victory as an NFL coach, previously serving as Offensive Coordinator for the San Diego Chargers and before that, Head Coach at Indiana University.

The Dolphins could have sealed this victory without overtime, had they not been dogged by their regular blunders.  In one instance, Running Bank Lorenzo Booker was rushing for a touchdown and suddenly trips at the 10-yard line – by himself.  The Dolphins could not convert and ended up with a field goal.

In other perfect news, the New England Patriots continued their streak with their 20-10 victory over the New York Jets.  The Pats are now 14-0.
